Fire Emblem is a tactical role-playing game series developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. The series features a medieval fantasy world with a gameplay style that emphasizes tactical engagement in combat against enemy units. The game also features a plot-driven narrative with emphasis on character relationships and choices that affect the outcome of the story. The series debuted in 1990 with Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi (Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light) for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Since then, the series has grown in popularity with its most recent release, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, for the Nintendo Switch breaking the franchise's sales record.

1. Byleth


Byleth is the protagonist of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. They are a mercenary who becomes a professor at Garreg Mach Monastery and the leader of one of the three houses. Byleth is known for being stoic and reserved, but also has a strong sense of duty and loyalty to their students.

2. Dimitri Alexandre Bladud


Dimitri Alexandre Bladud is the heir to the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and the leader of the Blue Lions. He is initially portrayed as a serious and somber character, but as the game progresses, it is revealed that he struggles with trauma and a thirst for revenge. Despite this, Dimitri remains a dutiful and honorable leader who cares deeply for his friends and country.

3. Claude Von Regan


Claude Von Regan is the leader of the Golden Deer and the heir to the Leicester Alliance. He is known for his charisma and easygoing personality, as well as his strategic intelligence. Claude is a natural leader who cares for the people under his rule and is committed to creating a peaceful and prosperous future for his home.

4. Edelgard Von Hresvelgr


Edelgard Von Hresvelgr is the crown prince(ss) of the Adrestian Empire and the leader of the Black Eagles. She is a skilled warrior and strategist, with a fierce determination to change the political landscape of Fódlan. Edelgard's unwavering belief in her cause can sometimes come off as cold or ruthless, but she deeply cares for those she considers her allies.
